Green Dot’s recycling programme should cover 90 per cent of the population by 2023 the environment service said on Tuesday as it announced that the service will be extended to Voroklini and Kiti in the next few months.

In a written announcement, it said that in 2020 and 2021, Green Dot had included the following municipalities and communities in its collection programme: Athienou, Pyrgos Limassol, Pareklisia, Pano and Kato Deftera, Dasaki Achnas, Frenaros and the Tamasos communities (Anayia, Episkopio, Ergates, Kampia, Kapedes, Psimolofou, Pera Orinis and Politiko).

“The environment service expresses its satisfaction over the good cooperation and the continuous and gradual geographic expansion of Green Dot’s collection programme for recycling,” it said.

This expansion was proceeding on schedule, in line with the programme Green Dot has submitted to authorities.
