Bringing up baby: what it takes to be an elite ‘super nanny’

If pop culture is to be believed, they’re austere, or magical – or both. A subtly subversive, yet ultimately ennobling presence, that’s one part prim to three parts proper.

But, movies aside, what does it really take to be hired to watch over elite families’ kids in reality?

In this video, we take a look inside the most exclusive school for nannies in the world. Here, students are not just trained to cook and sew, but also to learn self-defence techniques and to drive in dangerous conditions.

In other words, a cross between Mary Poppins and Mrs. Doubtfire… with a little James Bond thrown in for good measure.
