Law firm Neocleous & Co launches cutting-edge legal technology solution

ai face

Law firm Elias Neocleous & Co has on Wednesday initiated the beta testing phase of its cutting-edge legal technology solution Neolaw.ai.

Working with machine learning and Artificial Intelligence, Neolaw.ai can provide legal information in response to queries, as well as drafting legal documents like rental agreements or contracts. It can also act as a legal assistant and knowledge repository for lawyers.

All of this is accessible using natural language – there is no need to search for keywords, or to use technical jargon. And queries can be made via mobile, tablet, or desktop.

The firm has chosen to offer a month-long free trial to any lawyers who would like to trial it.

“We believe that the future of professional law firms lies in using the best of modern technology to increase the efficiency of lawyers by eliminating time consuming tasks and by expanding their knowledge horizons to the benefit of their clients. Neolaw.ai is our contribution to this evolution.  Certainly, the unfortunate circumstances of the past year have highlighted the importance of technology in all our lives. For lawyers and clients, at any time, Neolaw.ai cuts costs and expands horizons. Faced with working from home again it can be a game changer,” the firm said in a statement.

There are three parts to Neolaw.ai:

  • Legal Brain: A digital lawyer with an extensive knowledge base from a library of the Laws of Cyprus along with references to relevant cases for each subject matter.
  • Informational Services: Information about current legal issues. This now covers GDPR, Permanent Residency, Trademarks and IP issues but will shortly expand to include a host of topics such as “setting up in Cyprus” and full information on Cyprus tax issues.
  • Document Review and Drafting: Legal documents will be custom-drafted in response to the information provided by the user.  This goes beyond templates to responses that fulfill the user’s particular needs. Documents can also be reviewed for revision (both of these services are still in preparation but will be available shortly).

Neolaw.ai has been developed by a combined team of our tech-specialists and lawyers, therefore while it utilises the most advanced technology available, it is designed to give lawyers the information that they need in the format which is most useful to them.
