People who want to receive their first dose of a Covid vaccine or a booster shot can now also arrange an appointment through the vaccination portal, the health ministry said on Wednesday.

From Friday, people can arrange appointments through the portal for first jabs and booster shots (third dose), the ministry said.

First jabs will be available for individuals 12 and above.

Booster shots are available for people 65 and above, provided they have received their second jab at least six months ago.

At the same time, people can also receive their shots at walk-in centres without an appointment.

So far, 26,097 people have received a Covid booster shot while 81.5 per cent of the adult population have received at least one shot. Seventy-nine per cent were fully vaccinated.

The percentage of teenagers between 16 and 17 who have received at least one dose was 41.5 per cent, with 38 per cent completing their vaccination.

At least one dose has been administered to 27.4 per cent of 12 to 15-year-olds, while 24.6 per cent have received both shots.
