The health ministry announced that on Saturday it will be carrying out vaccinations against Covid-19 in mountainous areas, to help residents of these areas wishing to get the jab.

The mobile unit will be at the Evrychou health centre between 8am and 10.30am on Saturday and at the office of the commissioner for the development of mountainous areas in Trimiklini between 11.30am and 2pm.

This concerns first doses and booster jabs. Second doses will be administered only to those who have already been vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech jab.

The unit will be administering first doses to people over 12 who have not been vaccinated yet. It will also be giving second doses to those who have received the first dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech jab at least three weeks ago.

As regards booster jabs, eligible are people aged 60 and over who have received their second dose at least six months ago.

Everyone interested in getting vaccinated by the mobile unit must present an identification document (ID, passport, alien registration certificate) and their vaccination cards if they want to be administered the second or third dose.
