Man arrested for armed robbery

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery of a kiosk in Famagusta, police said on Friday.

The robbery took place at around 8pm on October 22, when a hooded man entered the kiosk and demanded the cashier give him the money in the till, threatening him with a gun.

The armed man fled after the money was handed over.

Police said the suspect was arrested on Thursday.
