Police arrest dogfight suspect

Police in Limassol arrested a 28-year-old man on Sunday after a dogfight video appeared on social media.

Authorities were seeking a second man, 25, for the same case.

The case was reported to Limassol CID by a shelter volunteer who said that a video showing two dogs fighting had been uploaded by a specific account on social media.

Police tracked down the individuals who appeared in the video and secured warrants for their arrest.

The case is being investigated by the animal police.
