Police in Limassol arrested two men, 23 and 26, on suspicion of car theft, possession of counterfeit money, and possession of burglary tools.

The pair were arrested at around 10.30pm after they were stopped by officers for a check.

Inside their vehicle, police found a number of photocopied €200 notes, as well as burglary tools.

It was also determined that the car they were in had been stolen and its registration plates belonged to a different vehicle.

The suspects are expected to be brought before a court on Thursday.
