53-year-old arrested after fight breaks out amongst teens

A fight broke out in Nicosia on Sunday night resulting in injuries and the arrest of a 53-year-old man.

According to the police, they were called to the scene around 9pm, where they found several minors as well as adults involved in the brawl.

A 28-year-old man was injured in the incident, and was taken to the Nicosia General Hospital where he was found to have a serious head bruise, while four other people aged 14-16 were sent for examination to the hospital’s emergency unit.

Police arrested a 53-year-old man for assault and causing serious bodily harm.

The 53-year-old was taken to the Omorfita police station to be charged in writing and then released while investigations continue.
