Coronavirus: No deaths, 4,314 test positive on Sunday (Updated)

The health ministry announced that  there were no new deaths from Covid-19 and that  4,314 had tested positive from 82,650 PCR and rapid tests, a positivity rate of 5.2 per cent.

The death toll remains at 927.

There are 173 people in hospitals of whom 18 are in serious condition. Of these, two are intubated.

The ministry said that the percentage of unvaccinated patients was 25 per cent.

Of the total tests, 3,122 were PCR detecting 206 positives.

Some 79,528 rapid tests identifying 4,108 positives.

Under contact tracking, 1,116 rapid tests were done, finding 119 positives.

On private initiative, 1,403 PCR tests were done, detecting 146 positives, while 28,649 rapid tests were performed and 2,879 positives detected.

Some 50,879 rapid tests were performed through the programs of the Ministry of Health identifying . 2,254 positives.

In nursing homes there were 65 rapid tests were performed with four positives while in closed structures, 1,878 tests were done, identifying 15 positives.
