The health ministry announced on Wednesday that from May 23 the total capacity in retail stores, shopping centres and public service offices will be increased to 100 per cent for premises of up to 500 square metres and to 85 per cent for premises measuring over 500 square metres.

The latest announcement follows a raft of relaxations in place since May 15.

It is now no longer be necessary to demonstrate a Safe Pass in public areas except for visits to nursing homes, closed areas, hospital outpatient clinics, medical and diagnostic centres. In such instances a 48-hour rapid test or a 72-hour PCR will be required for people who do not hold a valid vaccination or recently recovered certificate.
