Teen arrested after car arson in Limassol

A 17-year-old was arrested on Friday morning after a car belonging to a 35-year-old women was set on fire.

According to a police statement, the blaze started in the early morning hours on Friday while it was parked outside her house after having been again set fire to the previous day.

Members of the police and fire service rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire.

Testimony was obtained against the 17-year-old suspect for committing the arson, who was found hidden on the roof of a nearby apartment building.

An arrest warrant was issued against him, and he reportedly admitted to the crime to police officers.
