Music inspired by Cyprus’ music and dialect

sais

ΣaiΣ is a newly formed music project created by Savvas Chrysostomou. On a mission to share his music, Savvas is performing in Paphos on Friday and will be joined by other musicians. With his ΣaiΣ music project he aims to create new original music inspired by Cypriot culture and tradition, and to experiment with the island’s traditional songs.

Savvas’ music venture creates an electrifying ambience, laced with the powerful poeticism of the Cypriot dialect and folk tradition, since it combines the power of a rock music background with the power of Cypriot dialect.

Involved with music since the age of six, Savvas attended the Music School of Paphos and began participating in competitions from a young age with his own compositions and songs. After graduating with a Music Production and Performance degree from Leeds Beckett University, he published his first solo album called I Paletta ton Oneiron Sou in 2018 and in 2021, he published the album En Mes Stin Psishin with the band Said Project. After the rebranding of the band, he is now the lead singer and he plays the electric guitar for ΣaiΣ.

The first official album of the ΣaiΣ Project was published in March 2021, with original songs written by Savvas. Now, he is bringing them to Technopolis20 joined by musicians Christodoulos Christodoulou and Odysseas Vlamis as well as Nikolas Tsangaris as a guest member.
