Man hospitalised after attack at concert

A 47-year-old man remained intubated at Nicosia general hospital on Saturday after he was apparently attacked by unknown people during a concert the previous evening at the Mouttayiaka amphitheatre.

According to Limassol CID, the man was taken by ambulance to Limassol general where doctors diagnosed a small epidural hematoma on his head, skull fractures and multiple rib fractures.

Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was intubated and transferred by ambulance to the neurosurgical ward in the high dependency unit of Nicosia general.

Members of the CID went to the amphitheatre to carry out investigations where a concert was held with around 800 people in the audience, during which time the man was attacked by so far unknown people.
