A yellow weather warning for “extremely high temperatures” on Sunday night has been issued by the Met Office.

The warning concerns the period from 9pm on Sunday to 6am on Monday.

According to the warning, the minimum temperature on the western coasts will not fall below 25C.

It said it poses a danger to the health of vulnerable members of society, including the elderly and small children.
