Police investigate car arson in Limassol

Limassol police were investigating on Friday after a man reported he saw two people setting fire to a car.

The arson took place around 1.45am on Friday, when two people riding a high-capacity motorcycle used a flammable substance to set a car parked in Ayios Ioannis on fire.

According to the 34-year-old complainant, the perpetrators had their faces covered.

Police and firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire.

Media reported the car was used by the complainant but belonged to his friend.
