Hellenic ushering in a new era in banking services

login eng

Hellenic Bank is forging ahead decisively in its modernisation drive. As part of its digital transformation rollout, the Bank is changing the way in which day-to-day banking transactions are conducted, bringing customers ever closer to digital channels.

Aiming to provide better and faster service, Hellenic Bank is enhancing the role of meet-and-greeter staff who are helping customers to get familiar with the use of digital channels. Also, as of December 15, 2022, the Bank will be introducing changes in terms of the transactions that can be carried out at branches.

In particular:

  • Cash deposits and withdrawals, for amounts less than €500, will be carried out exclusively at ATMs
  • Deposits by third parties (any amount) will not be accepted at cashier desks
The above apply to accounts held by individuals
  • Coin deposits of over €200 will be carried out only at branches with Cash360 machines

Nevertheless, vulnerable customers unable to use the Bank’s ATMs will continue to be served in-Branch.

Additionally, as of November 1, 2022 the following services will only be offered at the Branches available at the Bank’s website for customers’ information. See the link here for more information as to locations providing the following services.

  • Foreign banknotes transactions (purchase, withdrawal, deposit)
  • Issuance of foreign currency cheques.

172 ATMs at 78 locations

Hellenic Bank customers can make use of the broad, island-wide network of new-generation ATMs 24/7, carrying out their daily banking transactions such as:

  • Free-of-charge cash withdrawals and deposits
  • Instant crediting of connected accounts or credit cards
  • Cheque deposits; viewing the account balance; and printing out the IBAN

Customers can also deposit cheques via ATMs or make use of the free courier service from the comfort of their own office (applies to more than six cheques).

Hellenic online banking

By simply filling out an online form, Hellenic Bank customers may register with the Bank’s digital channels without needing to visit a branch. Using their personal login credentials, they can carry out transactions easily, quickly and cost-effectively. Customers can:

  • View their IBAN and print out for free the IBAN certificate
  • View their account balances and print out account statements
  • Pay utility bills and taxes, renew road tax
  • Transfer money for free between their own accounts or to another person in Cyprus and overseas (up to €1000 in SEPA countries)
  • Temporarily freeze their card if the card is lost or stolen, or create a new password if they forget or lock the password

Contact pay

The upgraded Hellenic Bank Mobile App makes transactions with mobile phones as easy as texting. Using Contact Pay makes it even easier, as users can send/receive money to/from contacts saved on their phone, both from and to Hellenic Bank accounts.

Cash360 coin/notes

Always looking to provide the best possible service to its business clients, Hellenic has installed 11 Cash360 coin machines and five Cash360 notes machines at selected branches in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca. The machines allow the deposit of large volumes of coins when the user enters a special code.
