Health ministry creates special scientific group to examine long Covid

The health ministry on Thursday said it would establish a special scientific committee to study and evaluate the presence of long Covid in Cyprus.

The aim of this committee is to study and evaluate long Covid in the population and to submit recommendations on ways to raise public awareness and design appropriate support for patients, in collaboration with stakeholders including the Medical Association, the State Health Services Organisation and the Cyprus Federation of Patients’ Associations.

The University of Nicosia’s, Dr Constantinos Fellas has been appointed as the coordinator of the project and president of committee.
