Paphos police arrest man, 33, for illegal possession of cannabis and copper wiring

A 33-year-old man was detained by police in Paphos on Sunday for illegal possession of drugs and copper wiring.

According to a police announcement on Sunday Paphos police spotted a parked vehicle which did not have registration plates at around 3.50am.

The driver of the vehicle was found to be a 33-year-old man, in whose possession a quantity of cannabis was found.

Also, during an inspection, about seven kilograms of copper wiring and various pipes, a saw, two screwdrivers and other tools were found inside the vehicle, for which he did not give sufficient explanations for their possession.

The 33-year-old was arrested for the offences of illegal possession of drugs, illegal possession of property and possession of tools for burglary during the night.

Paphos police continue investigations.
