Police in Nicosia shortly after midnight on Wednesday halted a driver travelling at 130 km/h on Larnaca Avenue, instead of the permissible 50 km/h.
Police checks determined that the driver, who failed to stop after initial police signal, was a 22-years-old man, driving with a suspended license and without insurance.
The man was arrested and taken into custody while police continues investigations.
