Man arrested in connection with drug bust

A 32-year-old man was arrested by members of the drug squad Ikan on Thursday in relation to a case concerning another man who was found in possession of 3.6 kilograms of cannabis on Monday.

According to a police statement, the man who was arrested on Monday, a 40-year-old from Limassol, told the authorities about the 32-year-old man who is allegedly involved in the case.

The 32-year-old was found and arrested on Thursday, while the 40-year-old has already been remanded in custody for seven days on Tuesday.

Members of the Ikan drug squad found the cannabis on Monday in the boot of a vehicle just outside Limassol.
