Photography workshop for teens

foodprint (1)

A two-day photography workshop for teens aged 14 to 16 will take place at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation as part of the European project Foodprint: The Mediterranean Diet Revisited. The project is related to the exhibition that is currently on at the Foundation, Foodprint, which features the work of five award-winning photographers. One of them is Myrto Papadopoulou, who will be leading the upcoming free workshop on January 27 and 28.

Titled Nutrition and Visual Storytelling, the workshop will begin with a tour of the exhibition which presents a contemporary portrait of the Mediterranean Diet. Then, the participants will be introduced to portrait and documentary photography after which they will embark on a photography outing. During this part of the workshop, the participants will be invited to create photographic storytelling around the idea of nutrition and man, which they will then present to the group. This aims to encourage dialogue and the expression of ideas and feelings during the creative process.

Material from the workshop will be selected to be presented at the National Museum of Contemporary Art Αthens in the autumn, within the framework of a collective piece which is being created as part of the Foodprint exhibition. Teens who want to participate should register by sending an email to [email protected] and bring a camera to the workshop if they have one.
