Bus drivers across the country will go on a three-hour strike on Thursday, the transport ministry informed the public. During that time, there will be no public transport available.

The strike is set to last between 12-3pm. It is linked to cost of living allowance (CoLa) demands and part of a nationwide strike across sectors ranging from education, health, media and the public service.

Buses transporting students from primary schools, high schools, lyceums and technical schools will offer return routes at 11:30am. There will be no buses between 12-3pm.

Routes will resume as normal after 3pm. The strike will affect local, rural and intercity buses.
