Justice Minister Anna Procopiou discussed issues concerning the training of judges and justice in general at a meeting with the Secretary General of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN), Ingrid Derveaux, in the presence of the director of the judicial training school in Cyprus, George Erotokritou.

According to a statement by the ministry, Derveaux informed the minister about the functioning of the EJTN, its programmes and the exchange of knowledge and experience that it offers, as the largest training body for judges in Europe, which promotes cooperation between judicial schools.

Procopiou confirmed her support for the network, and stressed the importance of training programmes for judges, especially in specialised areas such as cyber-attacks, terrorism and financial crime.

She also underlined the importance of the operation of the judicial training school in Cyprus and expressed her gratitude for the assistance and support provided by the European Judicial Training Network.

During the meeting, they also discussed the general assembly of the EJTN in Cyprus, in the context of the assumption of the Presidency of the European Union by the Republic of Cyprus in the first half of 2026.
