High concentrations of dust on Sunday

High concentrations of dust are observed in the atmosphere on Sunday as temperature rises to 29C according to the met service.

The highest dust concentrations are observed in Zygi, Limassol and Larnaca, while Nicosia and Paralimni were also above the low pollution level.

The Paphos station measuring air quality is under relocation.

Meanwhile, the weather was forecasted to be mostly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms with the possibility of hail.

Despite this, temperatures will rise to around 28C inland and 26C on the southern and eastern coasts, 29C on the rest of the coast and around 21C in the higher mountains.

At night, temperatures will drop to 17C inland, 18C around the coast and 12C in the higher mountains.

Isolated showers are also expected on Monday mainly in the mountains and inland areas. On Tuesday and Wednesday some rain is expected in the mountains.
