police

Police in Limassol announced on Saturday that they are searching for the perpetrator of a racist attack against a delivery driver, launching an investigation following the circulation of a video on social media.

The video captures a young motorcyclist harassing a foreign delivery driver and using racist expressions against him.

Subsequently, the young man is seen removing and stealing the license plates from the delivery driver’s motorbike.

According to the police, despite no formal complaint being filed regarding the incident, the police took it upon themselves to conduct an investigation due to the uproar caused by the video’s dissemination online.

The video is being examined by members of the Limassol crime investigation unit, who have taken charge of the case.

Finally, the police explained that investigators have obtained CCTV footage from establishments in the area, the contents of which are being evaluated to clarify the details of the incident.
