narcotest3

A 68-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after driving his car the wrong way up the highway between Ayia Napa and Pyla.

Police were notified at around 9:40pm of the incident and located and stopped the car. The man “appeared disorientated” and tested positive for drugs, though it is not yet known which drugs he was under the influence of.

The man was not directly involved in an accident while driving his car the wrong way, but two people sustained mild injuries after a car drove into the central reservation attempting to avoid the vehicle.

British bases police and Oroklini police station are investigating the incident.
