Limassol municipality is collecting goods for distribution

For the twelfth consecutive year, the Limassol municipality will distribute “Christmas Love Packages” to people in need, and issued a call for those willing to support this effort.

“The packages are intended for people facing difficulties during the challenging times we live in,” said a statement released on Thursday.

“The aim of the initiative is to offer a message of hope during this festive period to those who need a helping hand.

“We aim to help people spend a joyous Christmas with their families, ensuring that nobody feels alone during the celebrations,” the statement added.

The Limassol municipality encouraged organisations, schools, companies and social groups to support the initiative by setting up their own campaigns to collect food items and other essential goods.

For this purpose, the municipality is also collecting various items such as pasta, pulses, canned food, biscuits, chocolates, sugar, flour, long-life milk, as well as personal hygiene products.

All the donated items will be collected at the Limassol social grocery store located at the corner of Philellenon and Muson until December 15. Those interested can contact 99728871 for further information on the collection process and methods.

People can also support the initiative by donating supermarket vouchers, or money to the dedicated Hellenic Bank account.

The IBAN code of the account is: CY43 0050 0214 0002 1401 G431 6907 The Swift code is: HEBACY2N.
