Health Minister Popi Kanari travelled on Sunday to Dubai to attend the COP28 world climate action summit.

According to an announcement issued by the ministry, a dedicated meeting of health ministers will be held for the first time in the framework of this conference, in which ministers from 50 countries will discuss the effects of climate change on health.

The minister will participate in the discussion of the member states of the European region and will address the conference regarding the consequences of climate change on health that Cyprus is facing and will speak about Cyprus’ initiatives and actions to deal with the issue.

In the context of the conference, Kanari will also attend events that will take place on the sidelines of COP28.
