Ayia Napa Marina Christmas Village returns with new delights

After last year’s success, Christmas Village at Ayia Napa Marina is back and more magical than ever. Over December 9-30, Ayia Napa Marina will transform into a big Christmas Village with impressive decorations, and full of unique tastes and smells to awaken the child within us all. This year’s event will include many festive happenings and surprises, to put both kids and grown-ups in the joyous mood of the most wonderful time of the year.

The Christmas Village will be set up at the plaza directly before the Marina’s Event Centre, extending in front of restaurants until it reaches the fountain. It will open on Saturday, December 9, with the lighting of its spectacular tree at 6.30pm, in a ceremony to be attended by Interior Minister Constantinos Ioannou, and presented by Antri Karantoni and Kostas Karnakis. Thereafter, a live performance by OnTour will follow.

Each day at the Christmas Village will be filled with festive activities, live acts, seasonal treats and various happenings both for younger and older visitors, culminating in a grand concert by Hovig on December 22.

So, over December 9-30 at the Marina, you will find yourselves in an enchanted world, one reminiscent of Europe’s Christmas markets, adorned with countless lights and ornaments, where you can also visit Santa’s workshop, or take photos and exchange hugs with the big teddy bear awaiting you on the swing.

And because Christmas is first and foremost a children’s affair, the Christmas Village will give little ones the chance to enjoy free rides on the carousel and Ferris wheel, to snap photos with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and, of course, receive gifts from Santa Claus himself.

As parents, you’ll get to indulge in arts and crafts along with your kids, as well as enjoy spectacular shows, dance numbers, theatre, live acts and much more.

Last but not least, given that Christmas is also a time of wonderful tastes and smells, be sure to pass by the wooden houses of the Village’s Christmas market, to enjoy freshly-roasted chestnuts, sweet and savoury treats and seasonal beverages, as well as shop for gifts for you and your loved ones.

The Christmas Village at Ayia Napa Marina is a splendid festive experience, a tribute to the most beloved time of year, full of daily activities and surprises for all.
