Stabbing suspect arrested

Police in Paphos arrested a 20-year-old on Wednesday night allegedly involved in a stabbing incident.

According to Paphos police spokesperson Michalis Nicolaou, at around 10.15pm on Wednesday, information was received regarding an individual acting suspiciously in the central area of the town.

A patrol then headed to the scene and noticed a 20-year-old individual acting suspiciously. Upon conducting a search, they found a folding knife with a six-centimetre pointed blade in his possession.

The 20-year-old was arrested and taken into custody.
