Barcelona, and Geneva have been added to the Cyprus Airways schedule for the summer, while recently added flights to Brussels will continue, the airline said on Tuesday.

During the summer months, from the end of March until October, the airline will operate flights to 19 key airports.

This includes a planned programme of 58 weekly flights, offering more than 342,454 seats to airports such as Athens, Paris, Dubai, Tel Aviv and Beirut.

Cyprus Airways added that more new destinations are expected to be announced in the near future.

The schedule will feature up to twice daily flights to Athens, daily flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut, and three weekly flights to Dubai, Milan, Paris and Brussels.

Cyprus Airways Chief Commercial Officer Christos Limnatitis expressed his satisfaction with the launch of the summer schedule.

He highlighted that the airline has worked diligently over the past months to establish a robust flight programme, connecting Cyprus to pivotal international gateways.

“This schedule demonstrates the airline’s commitment to both the local and international tourism industries and the Cyprus economy by ensuring year-round connectivity,” Limnatitis said.

“The aim is to facilitate easier access to the island for business and leisure purposes.”

Limnatitis further explained the focus on Cyprus’ core markets and the airline’s strategy of serving as a point-to-point carrier operating to major cities and airports.

“This approach aligns with our goal of connecting to larger network airlines through key interline partnerships and code-sharing agreements,” he said.

Highlighting the future expansion plans, Limnatitis said the airline is set to double its Airbus A220 fleet early next year with the arrival of two new aircraft.

The new plans offer large windows and spacious seating with ample legroom, and is also the most ecological commercial aircraft in its category.
