A 27-year-old man was arrested in the Paphos village of Chlorakas on Wednesday evening after being found driving with crystal methamphetamines in his car, and then testing positive for it in a subsequent drug test.

The man was pulled over for a routine traffic stop at around 8:10pm, before police conducted an inspection of his vehicle.

They discovered a total of eight transparent nylon bags containing around 6.5 grams of crystal methamphetamines, a precision scale, €1,290 in cash, and a 6.5-centimetre folding knife.

Additionally, they discovered he was driving without a valid licence.

Police seized their findings as evidence, and the man remains in custody.
