A case was filed on Wednesday against eight minors accused of committing arson at a school in the capital in the Nicosia District Court.

All suspects were released on bail under conditions imposed by the court.

The incident took place on Friday, when, after midnight, officers received a call about a fire at a school.

Police and firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze, which damaged several classrooms.

Upon further investigation, the police determined that several windows had also been broken, most likely from stones thrown at them.

A series of arrests followed over the weekend and on Monday.
