Rescue workers become part of Isotita union

‘Isotita’ has created a rescue workers branch of its trade union an announcement said on Tuesday.

The union said that it “aspires to become an effective and dynamic body representing and defending the rights and interests of professionals in the sector”.

The head of the branch will be Panayiotis Philippou.

Their aims and objectives are the creation of a strong, united trade union body to defend the rights and interests of rescue workers throughout Cyprus and to ensure fair wages, terms and conditions of employment, with continuous efforts for improvement and progress.

The statement added that they are seeking the establishment of the voice of Cypriot rescue workers at an international level, through participation in global organisations and exchange of knowledge and experience.
