Bravo Theo Panayides for the full-page tribute to us, the older Nokia users (‘A tribute to those few who cling to old-style Nokias’, June 30).

I have been considering a smartphone for so long as ‘others’ insisted on buying this modern tool. Question remains, what use is it for me?

The old Nokia serves my purpose but my few digital demands are mainly covered by my laptop and/or scans in a copyshop.

Just last week I went to a phone shop in the Mall to inquire about the smartphone price which increased from €100 to €160.

Decision, I went across to the shoe shop, bought another two pairs of trainers and kept my €50 Nokia which replaced the stolen Nokia in 2022.
