Upgrades to the anti-flood channel in Livadia “will be complete in the second half of 2025”, the Livadia Borough said on Tuesday.
Work on the anti-flood channel began at the beginning of the month, with the borough saying it is “an important project which is expected to make residents’ daily lives in the Livadia Borough easier”.
They said the project entails landscaping of the channel, with the bottom and sides of it set to be reformed, while footpaths and cycle paths along its sides will also be installed.
The project has a budget of just over €3 million and has been paid for by the European Union’s recovery and resilience mechanism.
