The presidential palace coughed up almost €60,000 on catering and restaurants in 2023, according to a report published on Tuesday.
Details of the state expenditure were reported in Philenews though it did not disclose its source.
It said €26,537 was spent on one catering company and €5,341 on another. Additionally, €21,544 was spent at a restaurant, along with €6,162 at another Nicosia establishment for food.
The government did not deny the report.
As for the electricity expenses, the bill for the palace amounted to €278,197 according to the daily, while phone charges reached €45,997 for the year.
Furniture expenses include €25,120 paid to one company and €8,759 to another.
Where hotels are concerned, the presidential palace paid €13,235 to one hotel alone, and €5,357 to another.
Fuel costs amounted to €81 per day.
