A 17-year-old boy was found bleeding from his mouth after he was beaten by a group of people in Paralimni, police said on Sunday.
He was found at around 2am after officers were notified of a fight on Pernera avenue. The teenager, a Nicosia resident, was taken to Famagusta general hospital.
Police said he had a fractured jaw and was taken to Nicosia general hospital for surgery.
One individual from Famagusta has been arrested and warrants have been issued for a number of other people in relation with the case, deputy police spokesperson Eleni Constantinou said.
She did not specify how many warrants have been issued, or the age of the arrested individual, only that they are a Paralimni resident.
