A street food festival in Paralimni, a car boot sale in Nicosia, a story festival in Larnaca, this weekend has it all. A rich events agenda is coming up making sure there is plenty to enjoy all over Cyprus.
Before the weekend officially arrives, a collective exhibition with parallel events, workshops and parties signals a good time ahead. The Awareness 2024: Perceptions of Existence art event is in its fourth edition, organised by the After:noon / Project. On Friday and Saturday, the Caves Exhibition Space in Acropolis Park, Nicosia will host a group exhibition, art and music workshops, guided curious walks, DJs from the local and international scene and other activities for two full days of creativity.
Also starting on Friday is the 24th Cyprus Choreography Platform in Limassol. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 Cypriot choreographers who have been selected by a committee will present their latest works to dance enthusiasts at the Rialto Theatre. Meanwhile, a parallel programme organised by Dance House Lemesos will extend the art throughout Limassol’s centre.
Come Saturday, a festive bazaar will spread the holiday cheer early in Tala, Paphos. The Kamares Christmas Bazaar is on this Saturday from 10am to 3pm at the Kamares Club. A range of vendors will sell Christmasy handmade and imported goodies, food and drink while an entertainment programme and a fashion show will be on. Live music from a ladies’ choir, a guitarist and a vocalist and a DJ will spread the festive mood throughout the day.

Back in Limassol, the MBS Wellbeing Festival will be on this weekend bringing another edition packed with masterclasses, seminars and workshops on holistic health and wellness. Over 80 lectures will take place addressing different pillars of health, spirituality and physical wellbeing while the large MBS Marketplace will be a meeting point for practitioners, holistic healthy vendors and experts. All set at the St Raphael Resort & Marina.
Another coastal town has an exciting event in store for this weekend. A charity Street Food Festival in Paralimni will enrich this weekend’s agenda as The Cyprus Chefs Association-Famagusta District and the Smile Project Ammochostou organise an afternoon of gastro-experiences. From 4.30pm to 11pm, the St George square in Paralimni will fill with savoury and sweet recipes as chefs prepare meals from Cyprus, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the USA. All proceeds will be donated to the Smile Project which supports adults with autism.
For strolling in Nicosia on Sunday, a Car Boot Sale is happening at Misfit Union from 12pm to 6pm so head over to grab some goodies and bargains. The street will be closed for the event and over 20 cars participate selling all kinds of items. Street food, music from DJ Vassilis Palamas and some indoor sellers will add to the vibe of the day.
Lastly, Larnaca will host a unique storytelling festival this Sunday at its Municipal Market. The Larnaka StoryFest will offer visitors the chance to share their personal stories, fostering communication, interaction and mutual support within the local community. Storytellers at the event will be local individuals who will share stories that shed light on their experiences and life events. Co-organised by InnoEUsphere, Oxygen for Democracy, and Larnaka2030 the one-day event hopes to encourage networking and the creation of new collaborations.
