Ierokipia municipality (formerly East Paphos) signed a contract for improvements to be made to the municipal beach of Yeroskipou, it was announced on Wednesday.
“Our goal is to upgrade the beach service for bathers,” Ierokipia mayor, Nikos Palios, told the Cyprus News Agency.
The agreement signed with Panath Construction Ltd involves the building of a parking lot with 227 spaces, a playground, and green spaces, covering a total area of 240m by 40m, the announcement said. Construction is expected to start in December and to last six months.
The cost of the project amounts to €907,947.00 plus VAT and is to be financed by EU’s “Thalia 2021-2027” cohesion policy programme.
