Anymaster founder Diana Verkhoturova recently gave an interview to Forbes magazine, detailing the Cypriot start-up’s ambitious plans to establish a strong presence in Greece.

Founded in 2023 in Limassol, Anymaster is a digital marketplace that connects property owners and tenants with reliable, vetted professionals for home-related services such as repairs, renovations, and installations.

The company recently secured €350,000 in funding to fuel its expansion into Greece, with key backing from Lamda Development and other notable investors.

“We are thrilled to bring Anymaster to Athens and expand our footprint in the Greek market,” Verkhoturova said during the announcement of the funding it received.

She added that the platform “will deliver significant benefits for both clients and service professionals”.

In her Forbes Greece interview, Verkhoturova discussed the platform’s unique approach to addressing inefficiencies in property management and home services.

“The idea for Anymaster was born out of the need for a reliable platform that simplifies finding professionals for household services,” she explained.

Anymaster’s model incorporates collaborations with major retailers to provide post-sales services. Its first partnership in Cyprus was with Superhome Centre, allowing the company to optimise service delivery for clients.

“This partnership enabled us to grow quickly and demonstrated the effectiveness of our platform in solving challenges for large retailers,” Verkhoturova said.

In Greece, Anymaster plans to replicate its success by partnering with local DIY and home improvement stores.

“Immediate objectives include building a strong presence in Athens and developing local partnerships with stores, property management firms, and service providers,” Verkhoturova mentioned.

The €350,000 funding round was led by Oxean, a Cyprus-based family office, and included contributions from Greek angel investors in Theti Club, alongside Lamda Development.

“This financial support ensures that Anymaster is well-positioned for a successful launch in Athens,” Verkhoturova said.

Lamda Development’s investment is considered strategic, as the platform is seen as a potential tool for enhancing the living experience at the Ellinikon, Europe’s largest residential development, which Lamda is leading.

The investment by Lamda is a strategic move to integrate advanced digital tools for residents of the Ellinikon,” Verkhoturova said.

Anymaster is currently active in four major cities in Cyprus and employs a team of ten, with two members already based in Athens.

The company is working to establish a local office while laying the groundwork for expansion to other major Greek cities and eventually broader European markets.

“We believe that Anymaster has the potential to set new standards in the industry, from efficient service delivery to transparent digital payments and invoicing,” Verkhoturova said.

“While this long-term vision guides us, our immediate focus is on Athens, where we aim to establish our presence, develop partnerships, and demonstrate the full potential of our model,” she added.

Athens is just the beginning, and we are determined to bring this revolution to other markets in the near future,” Verkhoturova concluded.
