The police on Thursday urged members of the public to verify whether they owe any outstanding fines issued by automated traffic cameras.

A large volume of issued fines were never received by the drivers for whom they were intended, police said.

Though the outstanding fines may have been issued to an outdated address, or to a person who may not have a correct address registered with authorities, recipients are nonetheless liable to be tracked down and taken to court, as per legislation.

Vehicle owners are thus encouraged to visit the webpage of the traffic camera company in charge of fines and enter their vehicle registration number and ID or ARC number, or their company number, in order to check the status of any fines issued against them.

The fines cover the period from January 1, 2022 until September 30, 2024 the police said. The grace perios for settling the fines via the police website began on January 8 and will last through March 31.

Concerned drivers can check their fine status at CYCameraSystem.com here and immediate payments is possible via the police website here.
