Wednesday will be cloudy with rains and an isolated storm, with a chance of hail, expected in the afternoon. Snow may fall on the highest peaks of Troodos. Temperatures will rise to 18C inland and on the coast, and 8C in the higher mountains. Winds will be south-to north-westerly, initially light to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort and soon turning to strong, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea in the east will be rough.

The night will turn increasingly overcast with rains mainly in the north and the east. Snowfall is expected in the higher mountains. Temperatures will drop to 6C in the interior, 9C on the coast, and 0C in the higher mountains, where localised frost will form. Winds will stay strong, westerly to the north-westerly, moderate to strong, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be rough.

Thursday and Friday will see the temperatures drop significantly with rains and snowfall intensifying overnight on Friday.

Saturday will be mainly cloudy with localised rain and isolated storms and snowfall in semi-mountainous and mountainous regions. The island will be affected by a northerly wind field, which will be intermittently strong.

Temperatures will continue to fall through Saturday, reaching well below the seasonal norms. The depth of snow, at 5am, was 1cm in Troodos Square and 7cm in Chionistra.
