The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and the Cyprus Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Cyprus) renewed their agreement, reaffirming their commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Kyriakos Iordanou, general manager of the ICPAC and IIA, president Aristodemos Yiannaka, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two institutions.

Building on a shared objective to enhance the role of internal audit and the audit function, the expanded cooperation focuses on continuous professional training, knowledge exchange, and initiatives aimed at shaping a more robust corporate governance framework.

At the same time, according to the announcement, particular emphasis is placed on strengthening mechanisms to prevent and combat financial crime, supporting broader efforts to safeguard the country’s financial environment.

The agreement includes joint development of specialised education and training programmes, co-organisation of conferences and scientific events, and promotion of best practices in corporate governance.

Through these initiatives, both associations seek to enhance the professional competence of their members while reinforcing their contribution to a modern and reliable business and economic landscape.
