An interview with Mikhail Fisher, Head of Sales (commercial real estate) at INEX

In recent years, INEX has been transforming commercial real estate in Cyprus, creating high-quality workspaces that meet the needs of modern businesses. From its groundbreaking projects in Paphos to new moves on the horizon, INEX is shaping the future of workplaces. To learn more about their approach and latest developments, we spoke with Mikhail Fisher, Head of Sales (Commercial Real Estate) at INEX, about how the company is rethinking office spaces, building strong business communities, and what’s coming next— including a milestone on the map of Cyprus.

INEX has made significant strides in the commercial real estate sector. Can you tell us more about Beon active office, your first commercial building that opened last April?

Mikhail Fisher, HoS: Beon has been a success. It’s fully leased, with over 200 professionals – mainly from fintech and game development – who, let’s be honest, probably spend more time in digital worlds than the physical one. That’s exactly why we created a space where they’d actually want to come to work – somewhere that feels exciting rather than routine.

What I find most interesting – is the strong sense of community. We designed Beon to encourage interaction, and it worked. People talk, collaborate and connect in ways you don’t always see in office buildings. We also have a large event space, which we rent out and use ourselves for various gatherings. Right now, it hosts THE HUB, an IT community that meets biweekly, KIDIT – tech education initiative for kids, Quizz – nights and many more.

We have heard an extension is in progress. Can you provide some details about what to expect?

Mikhail: Bigger and better! We’re adding more office suites, a rooftop event space and extra terraces – because fresh air and a good view make work slightly more enjoyable. We’re also introducing a new restaurant cluster, the first of its kind in Paphos, featuring three unique dining spots: Pan-Asian cuisine, everyone’s favorite burgers and an Italian salumeria, improving the work environment and serving both the professionals at Beon and the wider Paphos community.

What does Beon and its evolution mean for INEX?

Mikhail: Beon started as a refurbishment project, but we quickly saw its potential to become much more. We transformed a former Bank building into a functional, modern office complex while preserving its architectural character. It’s proof that we don’t just build spaces – we transform them.

So far, Paphos has been your primary focus. Is there a reason why you have not expanded to Limassol?

Mikhail: But we are! Our first project in Limassol, located in Mesa Geitonia, will be ready by the end of summer. It will have workspace for over 500 professionals across three floors, a restaurant and more than 80 parking spaces. Limassol has strong real estate potential, and we’re looking forward to being part of its development. Limassol, we’re coming for you!

Let’s now discuss your other commercial projects. The Majestic project has been described as unique to Cyprus. What makes it stand out?

Mikhail: Majestic is next level. It’s a premium-class business center in the heart of Paphos. It’s the tallest building in the city centre, yet it feels like it has always belonged there – perfectly fitting into the surroundings with its thoughtful architecture. From each floor, there are panoramic sea and city views. Plus, it has its own café and a rooftop lounge.

In fact, we love it so much that we’re moving our own offices there – talk about confidence in our work!

And what about Qube? We hear that it is set to become a landmark in the center of Paphos.

Mikhail: Qube is INEX’s first mixed-use business complex. It consists of three blocks – two residential and one commercial – bringing together offices, shops and cafes. It introduces a new kind of space to Paphos, where business, living, and retail are integrated in a way that makes daily life easier and more efficient. It’s our vision of contemporary city living, and we think it’ll set a new standard in the office market. It’s based on the “15-minute city” concept – where everything you need is within reach. We went further – we upgraded the concept to 1-minute, and I personally can confirm this timeline.

With several developers in the market, why should companies choose INEX?

Mikhail: Simple. We create experiences. Our spaces are designed to be smart, comfortable, and, dare I say, even fun. We integrate architecture and technology to make workplaces efficient and future-proof. If you’re looking for just another office, you have plenty of choices. But if you want a workspace that actually makes life easier and goes beyond expectations – come and see INEX’s buildings for yourself.  Some things are better experienced than explained.

Last but not least, some might say that your spaces are premium-priced. How do you justify the investment?

Mikhail: We’re not going to pretend we’re the cheapest option. But there’s a reason for that. The offices are move-in ready, designed for productivity, and help companies attract top talent. It’s a choice that pays off in ways that go beyond just having a place to work. It’s a smart business decision – pragmatic, even.
