President Nikos Christodoulides will on Wednesday be received by Kazakhstani President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the country’s capital Astana at 11am on Wednesday.
The reception of the President will be followed by a private meeting between the two politicians, followed by expanded talks between the delegations of both countries.
Later in the day, Christodoulides and Tokayev will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on higher education, culture research, IT, sports end e-government.
A further MoU will be signed on behalf of both chambers of commerce.
Shortly after 5.30pm local time, Christodoulides and his delegation will visit the International Centre for Artificial Intelligence (Alem AI), where he will be received by the Kazakhstani deputy prime minister and minister of artificial intelligence Zhaslan Madiyev.
At 6.30pm, the president will inaugurate the first Cypriot embassy in Astana.
During his visit to Kazakhstan, Christodoulides is accompanied by Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, Energy Minister Michael Damianos, the deputy minister to the president Irine Piki, deputy minister of research Nicodemos Damianou, the director of the diplomatic office of the president, Doros Venezis, as well as deputy government spokesperson Yiannis Antoniou and other officials.
The president will return to Cyprus on Thursday.
