The beaver who built dams in his rescuer’s home

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs.

In this video, professional wildlife rehabber Brigette Brouillard recalls how she let JB, an orphaned baby beaver, build dams in her house and swim in the tub five times a day.

Accommodating these natural instincts meant JB could eventually move on to a more suitable environment, while honing his skills to look after himself.
