The met office has issued a yellow weather warning for Saturday, that will be in place until 5pm.

Storms and rain are forecast to affect the entire island with rainfall reaching 50mm in some places. Showers could last for up to six hours, according to the warning.

The met office has warned that some properties might be flooded and outdoor activities might be disrupted by the severe weather.

Moreover, it has urged motorists of “difficult driving conditions due to reduced visibility and aquaplaning.”
