US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, and Foreign Minister, Nicos Christodoulides had a phone conversation on Friday and agreed that the strength of the US-Cyprus relations were at an all-time high.

US State Department Spokesperson, Morgan Ortagus made the statement following the phone call.

He said Pompeo and Christodoulides agreed that the strength of the US-Cyprus relationship “is at an all-time high as a result of our partnership on significant issues including the temporary waiver of International Traffic in Arms Regulations restrictions, the entry of the RoC into the International Military Education and Training Programme, and the launch of the Cyprus Centre for Land, Open-seas, and Port Security (Cyclops) regional border security training centre.”
